When we talk about Adam and Eve, we wonder why Adam ate the fruit, even though he knew God’s command, so that he wouldn’t touch that fruit?
Genesis 2:16,17 – And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree in the garden thou shalt freely eat, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die.
Adam had full access to everything that was in the garden, and could feed on everything that was produced in the garden, except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Soon after God gives the ordinance to Adam, he creates a wife for Adam, a wife who will be his helpmeet.
Genesis 2:22-24 – And from the rib which the Lord God took of man, he formed a woman, and brought her to Adam. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; this one will be called woman, because from man she was taken. Therefore he will leave a man, his father and his mother, and cling to his wife, and they will both be one flesh.
Here we see that God instituted the earth’s first family on earth. We could say that the first “marriage” was performed by God himself.
Why did God create Eve from Adam’s rib?
But why did God form the rib woman? We are well aware that according to science, human beings have 12 pairs of ribs. For many Holy Bible scholars, the number 12 signifies governmental perfection. It appears as a multiple in matters relating to matters of government or domain. We can understand that God is saying that the family is perfect.
Everything that God creates is perfect, he even at the moment of creation declares that it was good and blessed.
The family is something perfect and that which runs away from originality is the work of the enemy, as he does not love the project called family.
Notice that God creates man first and puts him in the garden. Next, God commands the man not to eat the forbidden fruit and so, God then created the woman from the rib of Adam.
Now here is the key. I would like you to share the vision.
Adam and Eve were a couple who were joined by God. Eve is the first to eat the forbidden fruit and then she offers it to her husband. We observe that until Eve is created from the rib, the enemy does not appear, but from the moment that God creates the woman, the enemy appears to make them sin against God.
Why did Eve eat the fruit? The serpent persuaded Eve’s heart saying: “Of course you will not die!”, the serpent replied to the woman. God knows that when you eat of the fruit, your eyes will be opened and, as God, know good and evil. “Eve made use of their free will, that is, of their power of choice.
And if only Eve Had he eaten the fruit?
Why did Adam eat the fruit, even though he knew it was forbidden?
First of all we understood that it was God’s purpose, because everything that happens in the human being’s life, nothing escapes God’s control and will. another angle, because Adam and Eve were a family, and God does not approve of the separation.
The enemy manages to undermine Eve’s mind to the point that she eats the fruit. If only Eve ate the fruit, we could say that the first divorce would take place in the garden, for Eve would be taken out of the garden and Adam would remain thus the separation of a family.
Adam then ate the fruit and the two were cast out of the garden. Genesis 3:23 – The Lord God therefore cast him out of the garden of Eden, to till the soil that was taken.
understand that through des obedience sin entered the world and even though God knew man’s heart and knew he would fail, God continued to preserve the family.
The enemy may even have caused man to come to sin against God, but he could not destroy the family that God had created.
Adam and Eve did not leave the garden, the penalty for the fruit itself, but for the fact of disobedience to God’s ordinance. Eve set aside God’s counsel and followed the serpent’s counsel. Adam and Eve were seduced by the beauty of that fruit and the proposal that the serpent had made, that if they ate the fruit they would be like God.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden and hid because they discovered they were naked, God Himself prepared for them a coat made of skin and clothed them.
We understood that the blood of an animal was being shed so that it could cover man’s sin at that time. We can understand that this act was already pointing to the sacrifice that would be made some time later by our Lord Jesus Christ, there on the cross.
Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross consisted of His shed blood so that we could achieve salvation and forgiveness of our sins.
John the Baptist upon seeing the Lord Jesus Christ, will say the following: John 1:29 “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
The Apostle Paul will say in 1 Corinthians 15:45-57 that Jesus Christ is the last Adam.
Thus it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living being; the last Adam, life-giving spirit.
It was not the spiritual that came before, but the natural; after him the spiritual.
The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man was of the heavens.
They that are of earth are like an earthling man; they that are of heaven, to the heavenly man.
As we had the image of earthling man, so shall we have the image of man . celestial
brethren, I declare to you that flesh and blood can not inherit the Kingdom of God or what is perishable inherit the imperishablemystery.
Behold, I tella not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
in a moment, inopen and close your eyes at the sound of the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will rise incorruptible, and we we will be transformed.
For what is corruptible must put on incorruptibility, and that which is mortal must put on immortality.
But when what is corruptible puts on incorruptibility and what is mortal immortality, then the written word will be fulfilled: “Death was destroyed by victory.”
“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the Law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The first Adam had full communion with God, but at one point the first Adam failed in his mission, but later on Jesus appears, the last Adam who came to show that it is possible to overcome death, that it is possible to overcome sin, which is it is possible to overcome the afflictions of this world and that it is also possible for us to regain communion with God.
Jesus Christ says: I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the Father except through me, that is, the second Adam came to show us the way of salvation. Through the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary we were redeemed from our sins and so that we might have life and eternal life.
