Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Everything has its season

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Everything has its season, and there is a time for every purpose under heaven. There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; A time to cry, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to withdraw from embracing; A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast out; A time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; time of war, and time of peace.

Over the entire universe and creation God is sovereign. Ecclesiastes shows us that time is a way for God to reveal himself to humanity, demonstrating all his control and sovereignty. God is present in the past, present and future, making us understand that everything that happens in this world is within his knowledge and nothing is out of his control.

Revelation 22:13 – I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

All the events of this world have taken place by God’s permission. And nothing escaped their purposes or their wills. Through time God is teaching us that every minute we live in this world, a specific purpose is being fulfilled in our lives, through his will and authority.

Romans 11:36 – For from him and through him and to him are all things; glory therefore to him forever. Amen.

God is so powerful that it is impossible for us to hide from his glorious presence. Psalm 139:7 – Where shall I go from your spirit, or whither shall I flee from your face?

When we talk about the weather, we remember that each season of the year has its peculiarity. We understand that no two seasons are the same, each one has something special, its right start time and its right end time.

And this is very important for our lives, because when we talk about the season of time, we understand that in the spiritual life, we also face different moments and none are the same, everything in life has a beginning and an end, nothing is eternal. The only thing that remains faithful and unchanging is the word of God.

Matthew 24:35 – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

The greatest difficulty of the human being is in knowing how to wait for God’s time for the fulfillment of his purposes. Psalm 40:1 – I waited patiently for the LORD, and he inclined to me and heard my cry.

God is with his ears attentive to our cry, and ready to answer us, but we must understand that God sees beyond what we can see and He certainly knows whether or not we are prepared to receive what we ask.

There are people that if God grants what they are asking for, they leave the presence of God and for this reason they do not receive what they ask for.

the Lord God can accomplish anything, for nothing is impossible with God. God can heal, deliver, distribute, restore life, restore marriages, but for that to happen it must be within his purpose.

Job 42:2 – I know that you can do all things, and that none of your purposes can be stopped.

And when God has to work, nothing can prevent the realization of his purposes. As an example of this we have Lazarus the friend of Jesus, who was already dead, but it was God’s proposal that Lazarus resurrects. In human eyes it was something impossible to accomplish, but in the face of God’s purpose Lazarus had to rise from the dead.

We also see that Jesus took some time to get to the family of Lazarus, because Jesus bought the day that this time was necessary so that the father’s name could be chlorinated.

The same thing happens in our lives, as we seek God in prayer, we cry out to him for something that we have not yet received, but we believe that it will happen at the moment when God’s purpose is to bless us with what we ask for.

Ecclesiastes teaches us that we should not try to help God, but rather learn to wait on God. Every blessing received at the right time brings happiness, but every “blessing” received at the wrong time brings with it tribulation.

It is extremely important that if we ask God for something, we must ask him to deliver it to us in his time and according to his will and purpose.
