2 Corinthians 12:10 – For when I am weak, then I am strong

Because when I’m weak then I’m strong“. The Christian walk is full of moments. There are times in our lives when we feel filled with the glory, grace, and power of God, when we “feel strong.” There will also be times when we will be led through the desert, and these moments make us feel as if we are “weak or not strong” to walk.

When we walk through the desert, we sometimes experience sensations as if we were in a car with very little fuel to continue the journey. The enemy of our souls has been shouting that the waves have swallowed us up, and that God is no longer with us, but the Apostle Paul says:

2 Corinthians 12:10 So I take pleasure in weakness, injury, need, persecution, distress for Christ’s sake. Because when I’m weak then I’m strong.

The Apostle Paul teaches us that the moment of weakness is also a moment of learning. The injuries, needs, persecutions, anguishes and tribulations that we face for the love of God sometimes come so suddenly that we will feel weak, but it is precisely at this moment that God is teaching us that we are stronger than we think.

Even the power of God is made perfect in our weaknesses.

2 Corinthians 12:9 – And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Gladly will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

When we are facing a moment of weakness, the power of God is perfecting our lives, for this is when we seek God with all our hearts.

When we have a feeling of weakness in us, more often we get down on our knees and claim God’s power over our lives, and we understand that nothing can separate us from God’s love.Romans 8:35 – Who will separate us from the love of Christ? The tribulation, or the anguish, or the persecution, or the famine, or the nakedness, or the danger, or the sword?

Through the above verse, do we stop and think what will be able to separate us from God’s love?

We understand that the tribulation causes us sadness and discouragement, but it is not able to separate us from the love of God.

Anguish comes to try to grieve us and make us stop, but it also cannot separate us from God’s love.

Persecution may come, but it is not able to separate us from God’s love, for even though we are being persecuted for God’s love, he will still be with us and we will be with him.

Hunger and nakedness cannot separate us from God’s love, because God is our provider.

The danger and the sword are not able to separate us from this love either, because the psalmist will say:

Psalm 23:4Though I walked in the valley of the shadow of death, I would not fear any harm, for thou art with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.

There are times in the Christian walk when we experience the exaltation of God, but there will also be times when we step out of those moments of glory and experience the wilderness.

We will experience such intimate moments with God that we will learn from him, as if a father were teaching his son to take his first steps.

God will encourage us to walk and in the desert he will show us that we walk with him in a little, in a medium, in a lot and in the whole trajectory of life.

God will show us that He has always been present with us, but He will also teach us that in some moments we will have to learn to take our steps, He will be following us and not let us fall.

Walking in the desert gives us a feeling of insecurity, creates fear, creates a feeling of weakness and often creates despair.

But walking in the desert generates new experiences with God, walking in the desert generates intimacy with God and spiritual strength.

Through a test, we will reach the strength to walk. So never look at your “weakness”, but look at the strength that God will give you from this moment on.

Maybe you’re saying, but I’m weak, I’m so small, I can’t do it!

Look back and do like David. And I killed the lion and the bear, and I will defeat this giant.

Be determined to overcome your weaknesses, your fears, overcome your difficulties and overcome your limitations.

Ifwe look back, we will see that we have conquered many things, we look back and we see that many have fallen by the wayside, but we have made it this far. The bible will assure us that:

Romans 8:37 – But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

And to finish just a reflection!

If we look through human science, the human being inside a womb, we understand that the first battle we face is the battle of life. And if we are here today, it is because we were born winners.

May we take this word of faith to those who have not yet met God.
