Proverbs 14:1 – A wise woman builds her house
We know that in order to build something, it is necessary to have wisdom for that building to be perfect. the wise woman knows when to act because her wisdom does not come from her, but from God. A home that has God as its center is a home of peace, refreshment, and faith.
Proverbs 14:1 – Every wise woman builds her house; but the foolish one overthrows it with her bare hands.
To edify means: To erect or elevate a construction according to a pre-established structure and with the help of the necessary materials.
The wise woman uses her faith in God to seek marriage, cares for respect, cultivates friendship, companionship and works together for the growth of her family.
Fool means: devoid of intelligence, instruction and knowledge; ignorant.
When talking about the foolish woman, we see a woman who throws away all the conquest of the family, we see a woman without patience in her marriage, without patience with her family and who does not walk according to the will of God.
Above we spoke of two women, the foolish one and the one who builds up. There are two types of women that exist in the world that are distinguished by their behavior in the face of situations.
The wise woman is interested in the material and spiritual growth and well-being of her home and family, while the foolish woman is totally uninterested in the physical and spiritual growth and well-being of her family.
It is very important for a woman to seek wisdom from God and James teaches that it is important to seek wisdom from God.
James 1:5,6 – And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it will be given him. But ask it in faith, not doubting; for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, which is carried by the wind, and tossed this way and that.
It is extremely important that within the family, not only the woman, but everyone who makes up the house, come to God for Wisdom to deal with moments of scales and scarcity, that is, moments of happiness, I stay with moments of anguish, because life demands wisdom at all times, so that the best decisions can be made.
The best decisions that are made within the family will be the best decisions that will keep this family together to face any and all difficulties.
For this reason, it is important that here, speaking of the wise woman theme, the woman is constantly seeking God’s wisdom to manage her cell phone to take care of her marriage and her family.
The greatest gift of a woman was given by God which is the power to bear children, and also for taking care of the home and being a good mother and wife.
We see there in the garden of Eden when God created the woman from the rib of Adam, who was born there who would be a helper, the man’s helper, the woman would help the man in his daily life and this help requires wisdom.
We know that managing a family is not easy, but with God’s wisdom it certainly becomes possible to have a blessed family.
Examples of Wise Women
Deborah, a judge of Israel who led her people in a war against Sisera.
Judges 4:4-9 – And Deborah, the woman prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, judged Israel at that time. She sat under the palm trees of Deborah, between Ramah and Bethel, in the mountains of Ephraim; and the children of Israel went up to it for judgment.
And he sent and called for Barak the son of Abinoam of Kedesh of Naphtali, and said to him, Has not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw men to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali. and of the children of Zebulun;
And I will draw thee to the brook of Kishon, Sisera, captain of the host of Jabin, with his chariots, and with his multitude; and I will give it into your hand.
Then Barak said to him, If you will go with me, I will go; but if you do not go with me, I will not go.
And she said, I will certainly go with thee, but the honor of the journey that thou undertakest shall not be thine; for into the hand of a woman the Lord will sell Sisera. And Deborah arose, and departed with Barak to Kedesh.
what we can extract here is that the woman has the role of also taking care of her family, watching her children watching her marriage, helping her husband, so that this family will always be guarded by God.
Martha and Mary were two women who teach that we should seek the best part, which is the presence of God, because while Martha was busy with her household chores, Mary chose the best part, which was to sit at the feet of Jesus to learn his teachings.
Luke 10:38-42 – And it came to pass, as they were on their way, that Jesus entered a village; and a woman named Martha received him into her house;
And this one had a sister named Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to his word.
Marta, however, was distracted in many services; and approaching, he said: Sir, do you not care that my sister should let me serve alone? Tell him to help me.
And Jesus answering, said to her: Martha, Martha, you are anxious and weary about many things, but only one is needed;
And Mary chose the good part, which will not be taken away from her.
The wise woman is absolutely certain that God sustains her house and family and that we can be wise women, strong in helping faith.
Titus 2:4,5 – They should instruct younger women to love their husbands and children,
to live wisely and pure, to work in the home, to do good and to be submissive to their husbands. So they did not put the word of God to shame.
Titus talks about God’s purpose for women in relation to family, husband, home and motherhood. The woman for God has a very beautiful and important role because it consists of knowing how to teach, take care and be the pillar of the house.
The wise woman helps her husband and is a companion for life, helps her husband to form in his children a character of holiness and fear of the Lord.
We understand that God is the center of everything and the children and the husband will need to be the center of interest of a Christian woman, that is, the woman is always guiding her home to live the practices of a life in holiness.
What the word of God teaches us women is that we must not leave wisdom aside, even when we face tribulations and trials, because it is precisely in these moments of crisis that we have to act with total and complete wisdom, using the faith that we have. in God, for the faith that sustains us and keeps us on our feet.
Jesus teaches that we must have faith as small as a mustard seed.
Matthew 17:20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief; for truly I say to you, if you have faith like a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Jesus teaches us that our faith must be a faith that must be growing, for the mustard seed is so small, but when it falls on fertile ground, it grows and bears fruit. The result of faith within the family is great, but it starts small, within the marriage and family with faith in God, praying for the family, with love, respect and wisdom.
We start from the small seed, where we learn to manage and face the difficulties of life, so that later on we come to choose fruits and big fruits, like children who grow in the presence of God, with a husband who follows and fulfills God’s will. , with a blessed home and full of the Peace of God.
Then we must understand that along with faith comes the wisdom that God gives to everyone who asks.
The woman is a rare and most valuable piece that God can make. We can even understand that each woman had her different role, but the wise women had the same faith in God and that’s why they became victorious.
