When we talk about trusting in God, we stop and meditate and come to a single common denominator, where the question we ask ourselves is who will I trust? Before we talk about trust, we need to know what its real meaning is; Confidence means: Belief that something will not fail, that it is done well, or that it is strong enough to do its job.
We understand that trusting in God is knowing that He will never fail. It is trusting in their greatness and in their power to fulfill their projects and purposes for our lives.
1 John 5:14: This is the confidence we have when we approach God: if we ask for something according to God’s will, he will hear us.
When we get closer to God, more is generated within our hearts a confidence so strong that it makes us believe that everything we ask will be answered according to God’s will and that He will always hear us.
Trusting in God makes us intimate to the point that we tell God all our secrets, our difficulties, and we draw closer and closer to Him. And every time we get closer to God he also draws closer to us.
We must understand that the closer we get to God, the more God reveals himself by showing us his love, his affection and his mercy for our lives.
Lamentations 3:22,23 – The mercies of the Lord are the cause of our not being consumed, for His mercies have no end; New ones are every morning; great is your loyalty.
God is the only one we can fully trust, because in him there is no lie, there is no falsehood, that is, God does not go back on what He promised.
Numbers 23:19 – God is not a man that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should repent. Does he speak and fail to act? Does it promise and fail to deliver?
When we raise our hands to accept Jesus as lord and savior of our lives, we learn that we must tell God all our secrets.
We count everything that is stored internally within our hearts. Secrets that the closest friend is often unaware of, but God the faithful friend listens to us, advises us, teaches us, does not judge us, but with such great love He honors our trust in Him.
We must never trust only in ourselves, as it is necessary that we come to trust in God and his divine guidance so that we can experience God’s best, so that we can experience God’s ways, because God’s ways are better and greater than the our. Trusting in God makes us walk along paths we never imagined walking.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge the Lord, and he will make your paths straight.
God is able to straighten out paths, God is able to transform those who were lost in society, transform the most dangerous man on earth into a preacher of the gospel, God takes a homeless person and makes him a preacher of the gospel, God it is capable of transforming those who had no value to society.
We need to learn to trust God, we need to learn to wait for God’s moment to respond to us. We must understand that trusting in God is directly linked to waiting, as God will not always respond at the exact moment we ask, as there are situations in which God will only grant us what we ask for when he understands that we are able to receive, as there are blessings that granted at the wrong time turn into a great curse causing physical and spiritual death, as it was not the time.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 – Everything has its appointed time, and there is a time for every purpose under heaven.
Trusting in God is understanding that there is a time for blessing to come to our lives. Trusting in God is understanding that there is a time for us to experience God. Trusting in God is knowing that there is time to experience the different scenarios that God has prepared for our lives.
Psalm 9:10 – Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, never forsake those who seek you.
When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives, we come to know his power and greatness and through the experiences we live in our daily lives with God, we understand that you never abandon us regardless of the scenario we are living.
So it doesn’t matter what you are experiencing today. Just trust and see what God is going to do in your life, in your house, in your history.
